Meet our team

Noelle Cormier, E-RYT200hr, Studio Director & Owner

Noelle's yoga journey began in 1998.  She is the director of Studio 2 for Yoga and Wellness (located at 78 Main Street South, Georgetown) and Yoga by Noelle and has been approved by the Yoga Alliance to open a Registered Yoga School.

She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Instructor (ERYT200) with the Yoga Alliance, a 350hr Certified Yoga Instructor through East to West Yoga, a Yoga Exercise Specialist, a Restorative Yoga Specialist and a Post Natal Specialist. Noelle is a member of the Ontario Yoga Association (OYA) and has had articles published in the OYA magazine.

Noelle offers a form of Yoga Therapy through an unique combination of the Universal Principles of Alignment from Anusara Yoga, TFH, EFT and Chakra Balancing. Touch for Health (TFH) incorporates a 14-muscle balancing technique, applied kinesiology, chinese medicine principles, massage, energy work and postural alignment to improve energy and release physical and mental pain as well as relieve stress.  She combines her studies of Yoga Therapy (with Martin Kirk, senior Anusara Yoga Teacher), as well as her Energy Medicine studies with Donna Eden (author: Energy Medicine and Energy Medicine for Women) into her classes in order to help you achieve your optimal alignment, feel your energy (and get it moving) so that you can properly stretch, strengthen and heal.  People with injuries will benefit from doing yoga properly by learning how to move their body in the proper alignment and then bearing weight safely.  Overcoming a back injury herself, Noelle has credited her healing journey with Anusara Yoga, Energy Medicine and manual therapy.

As a Touch for Health practitioner

Noelle also offers Energy Healing services. Energy Healing is a hands-on-healing approach that moves energy through the Chakras to restore balance and overall health, much like Reiki. As far back as childhood, your body has memories imprinted deep within the tissues and the endocrine system. Moving energy through the Chakras and a few simple home exercises will help release any blockages and will start you on your journey to better balance.

Noelle also offers Emotional Freedom Techniques(EFT) developed by Gary Craig. This complimentary therapy allows you to heal emotional issues that show up in your body as dis-ease. EFT has been known and has been documented to heal emotional trauma such as childhood abuse and addictions as well as physical pain and disease. She has successfully cured her fear of heights and eczema using EFT.

"I believe the body has an innate ability to heal itself and wish to share my knowledge with you through various techniques including yoga, chakra balancing, EFT and touch for health. You are your own healer, I'm just the facilitator."

Noelle has combined her yoga knowledge, her Touch for Health and EFT skills as well as meditation and pranayama into a successful 5 month, 5 layer 'Living La Vita Yoga' program. This program is designed to heal the 5 layers of the human spirit.

Lee Anne Knight

Lee Anne has been on a journey of self discovery and healing ever since taking the Nia White Belt Intensive in October 2006.  She enjoyed the intensive so much that she decided to teach classes within a few months of finishing the 7 day course.  One thing Nia has taught her is to listen to her body, which she had been ignoring for many years.  While practicing and teaching Nia she was inspired to study many other alternative therapies including:  nutrition, reflexology, reiki and feng shui.  In 2008, she received her certificate in Thai Yoga Massage (Level 3) from Thai Massage Toronto.   Still being drawn to energy/self healing based modalities she continued on her journey and received certificates in Nia 5 Stages of Self Healing (2009), Health & Fitness Qi Gong – Level 1 (2009) and  Ancient Qi Gong “Fa Qi” Healing – Level 3 (2011).  She is currently studying for her Level 2 Qi Gong, which is called Anti-Cancer and Longevity Qi Gong with Walking Qi Gong.  Future studies in Qi Gong and Qi Healing are planned in 2012 and beyond.  Lee Anne believes a vital key to health is movement.

Lee Anne teaches Nia on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm and Saturday mornings at 10:00am.  Qi Gong classes with Lee Anne are drop in and are on Sundays at 9:00am (when she's not on a course, learning!)

Michele Moleta Hayward, RYT200hr

Michele is a part time ER nurse, part time fitness and yoga instructor and full time mom to 2 wonderful children. She embarked on her yoga journey 15 years ago when a running injury placed some limitations on her body. Yoga taught Michele how to become more mindful not only in her yoga practice but in all areas of her life.  Her passion is sharing her knowledge and love for yoga, especially in her Vinyasa flow classes and through Yin yoga.  Both styles of yoga are a wonderful balance between flow yoga (designed to link postures with movement through breath) and Yin Yoga (where postures are held for 5-7 minutes in order to facilitate deep stretching, and cultivating a more 'meditative' experience).

Michele's other passion is exploring mountain biking trails while humming the Gayatri Mantra. Michele is currently certified with Yoga Alliance and is an East to West Yoga graduate. She teaches Monday evenings and alternating Wednesday evenings as well as Saturday Mornings.  See Schedule

Robin Montgomery

Robin is a certified yoga instructor, whose training is Hatha based with a strong influence in Anusara yoga.  Robin's unique teaching style was born from her knowledge of anatomy, her RMT and Osteopathy practice and her yoga certification based on the Tantric philopophy and Universal Principles of Alignment from John Friend's Anusara Yoga style.  Robin’s teaching is very focused on alignment and positioning within the poses (asanas).  Robin’s background is in Massage Therapy which she has been practicing for 10 years and in Osteopathic Manual Therapy which she has been practicing for the last 4 years.   Robin has also been involved in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor and trainer for over 25 years and retired into yoga several years ago because of a back injury.  The practice of yoga brings together all of the philosophies and teachings of Robin’s background in Health and Healing.  "The body is a self healing, self regulating structure."  With tools such as yoga and manual therapies to assist in optimal alignment, the body can be in its best health to allow these functions to take place naturally as they were meant to within our physiology.

Robin will cultivate a sense of peace and tranquility during your practice with her soothing voice while she guides you through your own thoughts and feelings in your own body while you practice your asana.  Go deeper, feel your body and know that her gentle approach to adjustments will only make you more aware of where you can take your body and mind.  It's like getting a treatment in class!

Robin teaches her unique style on Fridays and alternating Sundays.  See schedule.

After creating successful summer camp programs for children at fitness clubs she and her husband opened Kids Inc Camp and have been creating fun and adventurous summer camp programs for children ever since.

Mary-Kay was introduced to yoga almost 20 years ago.  Although she enjoyed it and always remembered how much she liked it she did not stick with it at that time.  Many years later while working in the fitness industry she kept trying it and liking it more and more each time.  After getting a Shiva Rae DVD as a gift the penny finally dropped and a devoted Yogini was born.  Mary-Kay came to Yoga as a way to unwind from stress, and anxiety.  Pranayama and Asana practises have helped her to manage all aspects of her life more effectively.

Mary-Kay did her 200RYT at 5Elements Yoga and Pilates studio with Michelle Cormack.  Since that time she has taught Yoga while on vacation in Texas, in Caledon and inGeorgetown Ontario at Studio 2.  She loves to travel, practise Spanish, and to keep trying new and exciting recreational activities.

Mary-Kay teaches on Thursday Evenings in the Spring and Fall

Cindy Ratych

Cindy’s style of teaching weaves a dynamic flow of asana with focus on pranayama (breath control).  Her approach to teaching draws from a Vinyasa foundation and her intensive studies with Rod Stryker (ParaYoga) which have taught her that function and form are not the only things prevalent to your practice.  “When you can pause and still your mind enough by focusing on the breath, you can really feel what is going on in your body.  Your yoga practice becomes safe and is a direct reflection of your highest intention.” -Cindy

Cindy teaches Tuesday evenings at 6:15pm and Saturday mornings at 8:30am
